1. The Magicians Nephew
Remember HERE when I shared my plans for Christmas break? I said that there were 9+ books that I wanted to read over break? I did it. I read my first Christmas-break-book in two days. CS Lewis' The Magician's Nephew, the first book in The Chronicles of Narnia series. I've read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe maybe twice for book reports, and I read the last book in the series, The Last Battle, for Basic Christian Doctrine this semester, and I love love loved it so much that I borrowed the entire series and it's on my list for Christmas break!

2. Cambodia 2009
It's a cd! Ashton (far right) made a mix cd from a variety of songs that are either memories of, or significant to, our trip to Cambodia in May. There are 3 songs from our blind and deaf karaoke game (PS: If you don't know what this is ASK ME, it's wonderful!), a song from the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack, which we all watched on the plane to CAM, and quoted all the time! Some Khmer songs, and Sara Grove's I Saw What I Saw, which sums up perfectly our trip! <-- Pictured with me are Loren and Ashton, whom I love love love, and are now both BLOGGERS! Yay!
3. Being Home
And here are some things I like love about being home! I moved from a twin-sized-top-bunk to my own QUEEN sized bed! We have TV! I can lay on the couch without moving books and pens and bags, and fighting my suitmates for space! I left my alarm clock at school. Washing and drying my laundry doesn't require quarters! Our house is FILLED with Christmas decorations. Etc. Etc. Etc.
4. New Moon
I finally saw New Moon just last night! It wasn't quite as good as the first of the Twilight Saga, but sequels rarely are. In fact, the week my roommates and I first rented Twilight, I think we watched it eight times in one week. Seriously. Loove it! Team Jacob anyone? WOW! :)
Shortly after finishing this blog, I'm going to get dressed and start my Christmas shopping! Yes. I said start. Thanks for not judging me!!

=) Well have fun and good luck with your Christmas shopping. I've been told that there are people like you who brave the crowds and love to go hunting. (At this point, I just like to go and walk around and look but not stand in lines.)
Here's to being home and lovely weekends!
Merry Christmas to you!
Hi Jewel,
Happy Christmas break to you. I'm sure it's a welcome relief for you. I love the books in the Narnia series. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is one of my favorites. Enjoy reading and have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I remember the years coming home from school and just enjoying the restful time. This week I welcomed my grad student home!
We read all the Narnia books to our children as read alouds. They still love them.
Enjoy your shopping. I hope you finish...

Love your description of going home, especially being able to sit on the couch without moving books and pens.
Enjoy your Christmas! No FFF for Christmas Day but we'll be back next week.
Merry Christmas.
