Stuff

Stuff. I have so much stuff. I have an entire shelf of books that I have never read. In my cupboard, I have five bottles of lotion, only half-used. There are movies on my shelf that I haved watched only once or twice. I have more jewelry than I could even wear in one week. I keep shirts that do not fit, and pants that I do not like. I have more blankets than I need. I am a collector of stuff. I am trapped by my stuff. I overvalue stuff. Stuff. Stuff. STUFF. I do not need any more stuff. I do not want any more stuff. I am officially and actively avoiding stuff.

When I turn 22 next Tuesday, instead of celebrating by receiving stuff, I'm going to give stuff. I haven't figured out yet how I'm going to do this, but I'm going to do it. I'm embarrassed by my stuff. I am guilty of my stuff. No more stuff!

Any of those books novels I'd enjoy reading????? I might not want them PERMANENTLY, but I'd sure take them off your hands long enough to READ them.

I love your heart, and so does Jesus! I think we all struggle with stuff. I know it is always a battle for me. I think the fact that you are struggling with stuff means that you desire that nothing crowd out Jesus' place in your life. I LOVE the birthday idea!
<3 <3 <3 you girly!

Keetha, I don't have many novels but I do have a lot of recommendations! However the last book I read was a novel about a peace corps family and it was really good. You like sense of humors right? ha. It was a good book! Hmm.. what else? I'll take a look at my shelf and let you know what I have. :)

I have been feeling the same lately. Especially as we begin to sort and organize to move we have begun to realize that there is much that we don't even use or haven't used in the year that we have been living in this place. It looks as though a very large yard sale is in our near future and you are more than welcome to participate if you like. I fifugre you can use that extra cash for your trip to Cambodia. :)

oh yes, "Stuff" can really get in the way. It's a good thing when it gets our attention and we want to do something about it.
Good for you!
