Titus' Birthday & Friday's Fave. Five

It's finally Friday [another celebratory dance!] Here are five things that added something special to a stressful and exhausting week! Click HERE to visit Susanne at "Living to Tell the Story" and link up to share your Friday's Fave. Five or to read others.

1.
Romdenh Chamnol [aka: Titus] Today, I celebrate the day a fine person was born; a person with a lovely heart, a handsome face, a captivating smile, and an alluring personality.

Happy birthday Bong Samlange, ♥ ♥ ♥
see you in December!

2. Music from Papua New Guinea As of yesterday, it is my newfound obsession. My bloggy friend Kari, a Papua New Guinean currently residing in Thailand, posted this song on her blog to celebrate PNG's 35 birthday:

3.
London Fog

A McConn Coffee special drink: Creamy Chai and Ghirardelli white chocolate steamed together with English Toffee. Yum. Yum. Yummo!
4.
Revival
This week at IWU we had regularly scheduled chapel services on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, but in addition, we had chapel opportunities on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings, as well as Tuesday morning. Pastor Mick Veach, from Stony Creek Community Church (Detroit,) came as an anointed speaker and we had revival! In the evenings, I would estimate that 2,000 students came together for the message and a powerful time of worship. God moved in incredible ways, and I am anxious to see what happens here next!

5. Special Memories

My friend Sue sent this picture yesterday from my last evening in Xai Xai, Mozambique this summer. That night I made, iced, and sprinkled 60 cupcakes for my going away part at the Bible College the next day. Here are our best efforts to protect the goods from ants, rats, sandstorms, etc.
How many missionaries does it take to wrap a box of cupcakes?

Yes... I just HAD to add a 6th...

6. Luke at
Blue Sky Travel Inc. Thanks to my wonderful Aussie travel agent, after months of stress and anticipation, I finally have my plane ticket to Cambodia for Christmas! I am a little nervous of going alone through an airport [in China] that I've never been through, but I trust that nine hours will be plenty of time to find my way around...

It is rather interesting for me to read this blog. Thanks for it. I like such themes and anything connected to them. I would like to read more soon.

London fog and Whitney Houston shot thru my mind :) That's a nice birthday tribute for your friend. Many years ago I was itching to get rid of all those chapel opportunities. Now I miss them, and would love to have some once in awhile. Happy weekend.

Happy Birthday to Bong Samlange! I like the music, too. It’s nice to discover new things like that. The worship sounds like it was a wonderful experience. That’s a lot of students. Praise God!

Love that music you posted. And that drink sounds wonderful. I wonder if they make it at the Starbucks.

Happy Birthday to your friend! Love the joy in the picture of him.

Happy Birthday to your friend!

My daughter spent a summer in PNG when she led a missions trip from Biola Univ. She was born on the Indo side of New Guinea when we were there doing linguistics and Bible translation. Love the music!
